I am very excited to announce the official date of the Second Annual Delta Iota Alumni Golf Tournament to be October 25, 2008. Last year the tournament was a huge success. We were able to raise several thousand dollars for our three designated charities. I am happy to say this year all donations will be tax deductible.
If you did not play last year, I encourage you to register early. In 2007, we hosted 60 golfers, a wine tasting and jewelry show (wives), and over 120 people for dinner. I was most proud to look upon the group over the day and see everyone catching up and reminiscing about old times. Duplicating last year's experience would fall short of this year's goal. I know the tournament will be bigger and better.
I have heard stories of brothers contacting each other, reconnecting and helping each other outside of this association. That is what brotherhood is all about. Being there for each other through the good and bad. Helping each other with opportunities and using our resources to help others.
The golf is limited to 72 players and we are inviting a few alumni members of the Radford and VT chapters to join us throughout the day. Edona Stanley has volunteered to host an event during the day for the spouses and significant others. There are new sponsorship levels so please read carefully and encourage your company to donate to this worthy cause. I reiterate that donations are tax deductible for individual and corporate sponsorships. Each person will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
For those of you traveling in from out of town. There will be rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn in Ashland. I really look forward to an incredible day. Please RSVP via the attached invite or email me.
