Active Chapter News:
Alumni,
My name is Christopher Grant, roster #340, and I am the newly elected Alumni Director, as well as Vice President. As you all are aware of there is a major issue with our National debt. As Corey Edmonds #274 mentioned in a previous email we met with some 20 alumni on this past Sunday night to discuss the issue. We focused on the amount owed, when it is due, what actions are being taken to clear this debt, and our plans to make sure this does not occur in the future. If you would like the minutes from this meeting feel free to contact me. We also touched base on the emerging of an Alumni Association. This is a great step for the Fraternity in that it will help us become more organized as well as keep you all more involved. Please contact Sean Murphy if you are interested in becoming an active member within the Alumni Association.
As I am well aware, contact between the Alumni and Alumni Director has slowly dwindled away in the past years. I would like to express to you that this will not be an issue of concern with me being placed in this position. I plan to send out weekly emails keeping you up to date and well informed with the state of the Chapter. In these emails I will be sending an attachment of the minutes kept during our weekly meetings as well a link for a paypal account for donations. This paypal account may be held strictly by the members of the Alumni Association or the Chapter. I will let you know which within the next few weeks as it needs further discussion.
As I mentioned before I am also the Vice President so I will be in charge of running Pig Roast this Spring. Alumni have expressed to me that Pig Roast has not been what it was in previous years. PIG ROAST 2007 WILL BE THE LARGEST PIG ROAST THE CHAPTER HAS SEEN. I am aware of the issues we have faced in the past year and I am addressing those issues. I have thrown 5 total field parties for the Fraternity and have faith that I am the right man for the job but I need your help. I need for every Alumni member of this Fraternity to attend. I could care less if there were 700 girls in attendance or 7. WE WANT YOU…but there will be a lot of girls. As of now the date of Pig Roast is for April 28 so please mark your calendars. This date is subject to change and will be confirmed by the New Year.
In order to do my job of keeping you informed I am going to need you all to carefully scan the email addresses I have and please send me any that you notice that are missing. Thank you for your support and your help is deeply appreciated.
In Phi,
Christopher Grant #340
