Alumni Meetings:

Mission Purpose Statement:

The primary purpose of the association is to provide a centerpiece for alumni to communicate and support one another. Alpha Sigma Phi - Delta Iota Alumni Association will provide every alumni and active brother with a network of support and guidance. The commitment "To Better the Man" will be the constant theme for all decisions, communications, and events. The association will recognize achievement among alumni and ensure an avenue for continued alumni involvement.

The undergraduate chapter will use the alumni for leadership, financial advice, social interaction, and academic development. We will work directly with the undergraduate chapter to ensure constant communication between the active chapter, the alumni association and National Headquarters.

Finances:

We have reached our initial goal of $2,000 which will remain in our account now that the active brothers have taken care of the debt on their own. However, with the current plans for Pig Roast and our other short term goals, we have increased our goal to $4,000 by this spring.

This new goal will allow us to reach our major objectives for the year such as:

  1. Chartered bus to Pig Roast for up to 50-60 brothers
  2. 2 Scholarships for active chapter
  3. An additional band (initial band should be covered by the active chapter)

As always, thanks to those who have stepped up to make a donation. So far the donor list includes roughly 25 dedicated brothers. We do have plans to recognize these individuals on the website soon. Please remember that your donation is needed no matter how much. Many of us have already discussed setting up a small deduction to be taken from our personal account each month. ($5/month= $60/year) With only 50 brothers participating, we would raise $3000 annually.

Leadership/Officers:

It was decided last meeting that we would have as few officers as possible and go with committees instead. Below are the six officers that we were chosen. Each of these brothers will be responsible for forming a committee of 2-3 others to assist them. If you are interested in assisting with any of these areas or feel that we are missing anything, please feel free to email me with your idea or bring it up at Feb.'s meeting.
